Paw Naturaw is a company that has and is developing raw and dehydrated diets for dogs and cats. Their raw and dehydrated diets are all organic and what is unusual about them is the try as much as possible to source their ingredients locally. One of the new innovations they are developing is Elk meat. Which would seem to be a very good source of food for dogs and their owners who are seeking a natural and hypoallergenic dog food diets. The company also sates that all their meats come form the United States, are human grade and most from documented family farms. This is truly an interesting fact. It sets this company apart from a very great number of its competitors. Here at the website we have not tried their foods but the diets they offer are certainly on our list for further investigation. Grass fed Bison is another ingredient that Paw Naturaw is using in its dog food diets. Again this would seem to be a very good and sustainable choice for a hypoallergenic dog food.

The story behind this company is an interesting one and one worth reading if you have a few moments. The owners and founders started the company because of what happened to their own beloved dog. They have made a very detailed and deliberate mission statement about keeping their ingredients, manufacturing process and their facilities as environmentally friendly as possible. In other words they respect the environment and the food sources they use in their products. They make the statement that not only is the food sourced locally but also is humanely raised and is fed biologically appropriate food. The company goes all the way with using packaging that is recycled and even uselabels that are made from corn kernels.

This kind of commitment to developing and manufacturing hypoallergenic dog food and pet food is really inspiring and also shows that it can be done. Just as with our own human diets our dogs should have food that is appropriate for their digestive systems. We applaud Pawnaturaw and give them all paws up for what they are doing.

Ask for help when looking for hypoallergenic dog food. Some people believe they are on their own when they try to find a hypoallergenic dog food for their dog who is suffering from food allergies. Your first stop should be your Veterinarian in order to determine that your dog does have a food allergy. I say this because he maybe suffering from an allergy that is not related to his food but rather is related to his environment. Just as with humans dogs can be allergic to carpeting, material in their sleeping area or in their dog bed,a substance that is present in their immediate living space such as a cleaning chemical or a shampoo that you are using or even drinking water and the chemicals contained in it can be a source of irritation.

Once you have determined that food is the problem you have several resources to go to for more information. Again your Veterinary should be your first source. Ask lots of questions in particular what ingredients are used any any food that is being recommended and how the food is made. Often high heat used in making dry dog food causes the release of chemicals which can cause irritation to your dog.Next I would suggest you seek out a small specialty pet food or supply store in your area. I am not saying that the larger chain stores are not also a resource but a smaller store will have more time to devote to you in helping you learn about what hypoallergenic dog foods they offer and what the pros and cons of each food are.

Smaller holistic pet food stores have really taken off in the last few years and even a store like Whole Foods Market is now offering a wide variety of natural and hypoallergenic dog foods. Also these smaller stores will often have in store events with Experts such as pet nutritionists and Veterinarians that specialize in holistic treatments for dogs.

So ask for help when shopping for a hypoallergenic dog food and investigate your local area for smaller specialty stores that have the time and knowledge to help you make an informed decision.

In the last few years several dog food companies have developed hypoallergenic dog foods.Often dog owners are confused about these products and do not truly understand why they have been developed and when to consider them for their dog and what the benefits might be.

The easiest way to think about hypoallergenic dog food is that these foods contain ingredients that are better suited to a dog’s natural digestive system and they are designed to address a food allergy.

A dog’s digestive system is designed to break down raw proteins and some vegetable matter however the ingredients in many dry and some wet dog foods in the United States are largely made up of corn, wheat, dairy, soy and other grains. This can cause the dog’s own digestive system to work against properly breaking down the food. The result can be an allergy to one or more of the ingredients which can cause health problems; such as itchy skin, hot spots, hair loss, upset stomach, as well as episodes of diarrhea and vomiting.

The ingredients in hypoallergenic dog food designed to work with a dog’s natural digestive system. The ingredients usually vary from what is included in the average dog food available in the Untied States. For instance the protein sources in hypoallergenic dog foods are usually venison meat, duck, rabbit and salmon instead of chicken, lamb or pork. Brown rice is often used instead of corn, wheat, dairy or soy.

Something to keep in mind; the terms organic, natural and hypoallergenic all have very different meanings when you are discussing dog food. A product can be sold as natural and not be organic, or vice versa and hypoallergenic is really about a type of diet rather than being organic or natural.

The best hypoallergenic dog food will be made from organic ingredients and those ingredients will be natural, and not artificial or artificially preserved. But the point of the hypoallergenic food diet is to address an allergy to one or more of the food ingredients the dog is currently consuming in his or her daily food.

Always remember that the health problems listed above can also have other sources, such as flea and or tick bites as well as other parasites. So be sure to have your dog thoroughly checked out by a Veterinary and by all means discuss your dog’s current diet with your Veterinary and seek his or her opinion. In so doing you could save money on future costly Vet visits and improve your best friend’s quality and quantity of life.

Since hypoallergenic dog food is a great choice for your dog, hypoallergenic dog biscuits are just as good of a choice. If you are feeding your dog this special type of food, why would you decrease the benefits of it by giving him a less healthy biscuit? It is important not to introduce any bad ingredients or foods when feeding your dog such a healthy diet. Your dog will enjoy the taste of these biscuits as well as the long term effects to his health. My favorite biscuit to make for my dog is a combination of oats and molasses which we call her “Yummies”.

To make these “Yummies” you must make sure to use ingredients that you are sure your dog is not allergic to. The recipe for these biscuits can be altered to fit whatever is best for your dog and whatever your dog likes. I altered my recipe from the one I originally found online, because it called for quite a bit of sugar. I don’t feel comfortable feeding my dog a large amount of sugar, mainly because I am worried that she will gain an unhealthy amount of weight. Because of that, I replaced the large amount of sugar with a much smaller amount of molasses. This allows her to still have a sweet biscuit, but at a much healthier level.

I combine around a half a cup of oats with a cup of oat flour, which is wheat free. I add one egg and three tablespoons of olive oil to help her keep her coat healthy and shiny. Two tablespoons of molasses and one half of a cup of water complete the list of ingredients. I combine all of this into a large mixing bowl and mix it until it is thoroughly combined. I then treat it like any other cookie dough and cut it into small shapes that are fun for me to treat my dog with. Hearts and balls are our favorite shapes for these dog biscuits.

In the original recipe, it was suggested that I should cook the dog biscuits for fifteen minutes at 350 degrees in the oven. This is another thing I have changed from the original. I cook them at around 300 degrees for around ten minutes. This leaves them with a slightly chewy texture that my dog seems to like much better than the harder variety. This biscuit is my dog’s absolute favorite and she seems to enjoy them much more than she ever did the store bought variety.

The best dry dog foods are found when looking at the
hypoallergenic choices that are available.
As many pet owners have discovered, hypoallergenic dog food is much
better for your dog than other types of pet food. This type of food is designed to work better
with your dog’s digestive system and to make him healthier than he would be on
a diet consisting of more mainstream food choices. There are a lot of choices out there when
deciding what type of hypoallergenic food you believe would be best for your
dog. The best way to decide is to do
research your choices and make your decision based on your dog’s own health
issues.

If your dog has food allergies of any kind, there
are a variety of hypoallergenic foods out there which address these
problems. The best dry dog foods are the
ones that will work with your dog’s system.
Many hypoallergenic foods are made with rice as opposed to any harsher
grain products. If your dog has an
allergy to rice, options are available that substitute potatoes for the
rice. If certain types of meats give
your dog problems, there are hypoallergenic choices that are made from all
types of meat. Simply choose the food
that does not contain the meat your dog is allergic to.

Your pet can also develop skin allergies or other
skin irritations due to any number of chemicals or preservatives that are in
many types of dog food. This can easily
be helped by switching to hypoallergenic dog food.
These foods do not contain these types of chemicals and are some of the
best dry dog food options around because of it.
A skin irritation can cause your pet a lot of pain and anxiety, as well
as being unhealthy in general. The best
way to avoid this problem is to eliminate foreign chemicals from his diet.

The best dry dog foods for your pet are the ones
that ensure his health and happiness.
There are many options out there, and you must pick the one that works
best for your dog. Hypoallergenic dog
food can be found through a variety of companies which maintain a variety of
ingredient options. You must always
choose the brand and food that works best with your dog’s own digestive
system. Try a variety of options until
you find the one that is right for you and your pet.

Dog owners have had a new focus in recent years on what their dogs are eating and on what is in their dog’s food. Granted an allergy to something in the food can be a very serious health issue, but sometimes a dog can be allergic to something in his environment and not something in his food. If this is the case then starting to feed the dog a hypoallergenic dog food. A good rule of thumb is that if you Think your dog has an allergy observe his behavior of a week or more. See what and when he has various reactions, such as sneezing, vomiting, itching and so forth. Many things that the dog comes in contact with can be the real source of the allergy. Chemicals in dog beds or bedding, blankets even a shelter or dog house if the dog uses one can be something that is making him sick.

Food bowls made of plastic or resin. Cleaning product you are using in the house carpets and carpet cleaner and a very serious allergen can be mold. If you even suspect t that you may have mold in your home do have a professional inspect your home. Mold has been shown to cause serious health problems for humans and dogs.

After you have checked your dog’s environment and also the products you are using to groom him then you can turn

our attention to a possible food allergy and try a hypoallergenic dog food.

Be sure when ever a health problem like an allergy is present in you dog that you have a Veterinarian give him or her a careful exam. Don’t forget to bring with you all the data that you have collected to help evaluate what maybe the problem. If you follow these simple guide lines you will go far in helping your dog cope with his allergy. And while you are at it take a look at all the green products that are available now at reasonable prices not just for your dog but for yourself and your household.

I wanted to take some time today to tell everyone about a great new resource for hypoallergenic dog biscuit recipes. It is a book called Boneappetreat, healthy recipes for your furry friend. This book and it’s author Laurie Southall are just great. Laurie is from Canada and she decided to put together some hypoallergenic dog biscuit and treat recipes when her own dog, Stanley became allergic to wheat. She has privately published the book and sells it from her website in Canada. Her recipes use no wheat, wheat gluten, dairy, corn, or soy. So she is definitely on the right track for making hypoallergenic treats. In her book of recipes she recommends all organic ingredients such as peanut butter, or almond butter, bananas, goat cheese, and a mineral broth that can be used instead of plain water for baking the dog biscuits and or can be added to the dog’s food. The broth can be made and like human foods then frozen for latter use, I recommend using an ice cube tray so you have several small portions which you can use individually at a latter date. Laurie has had some health issues of her own and has thoroughly researched her cooking methods. As an example she mentions that using distilled water to make the mineral broth is the best way to draw the minerals out of meat bones as they cook in the broth. Also she tells you about extracting the bone marrow from the cooked bones as an added treat for your dog. Her peanut butter and banana biscuit recipe yields 200 biscuits and only uses very few ingredients and is easy to make. She also has a recipe for “Ruffogies” which is a take off on the Perogie. It is made using organic goat cheese, sweet potato, spelt flour and sea salt, what could be easier? This recipe yields 100 biscuits. All in all Laurie’s book for making hypoallergenic dog biscuits and treats is excellent and also is very low cost. It is $14.99 and I am not sure if there is additional S&H on that and or tax. But I really would recommend it highly for low cost dog biscuit recipes that are healthy and that your dog will enjoy. Her website is www.boneappetreat.ca Pay attention to the ca. because she is located in Canada. Also I wanted to let you know that we prepared some of the peanut butter banana biscuits for our dogs and they were a great hit, in fact now there is no going back to the old style of treats. Seriously folks an hour or so you can have 300 biscuits baked and believe me your best friend will thank you!.

If you are in the market for an effective hypoallergenic dog food that your dog will actually eat, look no further than ZiwiPeak Daily Dog Cuisine. This dog food is absolutely and utterly amazing.

First, let’s start with the ingredients. ZiwiPeak Dog Food is meat – pure and simple. It mimics the diet of wild dogs. Historically, dogs did not eat wheat, salt, sugar, or some man-made chemicals. They ate meat – meat that they hunted in the wild. That’s what ZiwiPeak is – “the raw without the thaw.”

The animals that provide the meat for this hypoallergenic dog food (venison, lamb, beef) are grass-fed in an antibiotic and hormone-free ranch environment in New Zealand. The seafood ingredients (NZ mussel, fish/Hoki oil, kelp) come from the clearest blue waters of New Zealand as well. Each ingredient has a specific purpose in the overall health of your pup – ZiwiPeak does not have anything in it that doesn’t benefit your dog.

ZiwiPeak Dog Food does not contain any fillers like grains, artificial colors, flavors, salt, sugar, chemicals or antibiotics. And because it is specially formulated to meet the highly stringent nutritional standards of the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) for all life stages, you don’t have to worry about changing dog foods – ever.

Just because ZiwiPeak falls under the hypoallergenic dog food category, does not mean that you are limited to feeding it to allergy-prone dogs. ZiwiPeak is not a prescription diet food – it is what your dog is meant to eat.

So whether you have a fussy eater, or a dog with gas issues, a stinky dog, a pooper, one with dry, itchy skin, or you simply want what’s best for your pup, give ZiwiPeak a try. I promise your dog will love you for it.

Plus, it’s so delicious, I’m sure you’ll have a minor rebellion if you try to sneak in some of the “other stuff”.
